An extension lecture on Career Counselling in CA (Chartered Accountant) course was organised by Career Counselling Group, ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) at Kamla Lohtia S.D. College, Ludhiana.

The resource person for the event was Ms. Manpreet Kaur, CA, working as a Resource Programmer with ICAI. She familiarised the students about the career opportunities related with CA and deliberated upon the steps to enter and proceed in this course. She also apprised the students about a scholarship test named as ‘Talent Hunt’ conducted by ICAI which enables the qualifying student to bag a scholarship of an amount of Rs. 1 Lac. She described CA as a professional course with least financial burden and with less restrictive eligibility conditions. The main focus of her talk was on motivating and guiding the students about the steps to join CA and achieve the success through committed effort and study. These informative deliberations by Ms. Manpreet Kaur were followed by queries from the students which were satisfactorily answered. Principal Dr. Mukesh Kumar Mahajan recognised the significance of this knowledgeable talk and stated that such kind of lectures play a useful role in giving an appropriate direction to the students regarding the choice of their career. The college managing committee headed by President Sh. Dharam Paul Jain along with managing committee members had their special words of appreciation for this informative and purposeful talk.
