Procedure for admission to

B.A./ B.B.A. I B.C.A. / B.COM 1st Semester

1) Application for  admission must be made on the prescribed application from issued with the college prospectus. The applicant should fill in the application form in his/her own handwriting. The application must be accompanied with original/attested copies of:
a) A good conduct certificate from The Head of the institution last attended
b) Matriculation certificate
c) Original certificate of previous examination passed
d) Migration Certificate in case of students migrating from other universities/board
e) Three copies of passport size photograph. (duly attested and signed by the candidate)
f) One passport size photograph of parent/guardian
g) Attested copy of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe or Backward Class Certificate issued by the competent authority
h) Residence Proof
i) Registration Certificate of vehicles

j) Gap year affidavit (if required)

No incomplete application will be entertained.

Candidates seeking admission to 1st semester of B.Com / B.B.A / B.C.A shall present themselves on specified dates before the admission committee of the college and admission will be made on the basis of the merit list prepared by the college and as per reservation policy of the Punjab Govt. Their Parents/Guardians shall countersign on admission form for the fact of having given approval to their wards for admission in the college.
The college authorities reserves to itself the right of refusing admission to any student for any reason or disallowing any combination of subjects in which the number of students are less.

General Guidelines For Admission

2. Admission to students will be given on the basis of merit.

3. Students whose results are declared late by the board may join as per the guidelines to be issued by Punjab University, Chd. and the students who have been placed under compartment in the University/Board examination are admitted to the next higher class provisionally at their own risk and responsibility.

4. A candidate who has been placed under compartment in the +2 examination is eligible for seeking admission to B.Com & B.A., provided he/she have obtained at least 20 % marks (Theory/practical/Internal assessment taken together) in the subject in which he/she has been placed in compartment in one semester and one subject only.
5. Students seeking admission on the basis of qualification obtained from another university will have to produce migration and lower examination passed certificate (in original) and will have to obtain Eligibility Certificate from Punjab University. Chandigarh.

6. Candidate will note be prevented from II to III or from IV to V semester if he/she does not clear 50% of the total paper till that semester.

7) Two additional seats per unit course subject to maximum limit of four (4) out of two girl children from the session 2015 – 2016 are created for admission to a given course in Punjab University Teaching Department, Regional centers and is affiliated colleges provide otherwise they are eligible from all angles. the additional seats will be only for those girl children who are either a single girl child of her parents or one amongst the only two children with no male child. The additional seat will be available to only to only one of two girl children of couple.

8) An affidavit on a stamp paper worth Rs. 20/- duly attested by the first class magistrate to be obtained from the parent of the girl children declaring there in that the benefit of this Scheme is being claimed for only one girl child out of two girl children and the parent shall not claim of 2nd girl child else where in future.

9) Only those candidates will be considered in rural area students category, who have passed their matriculation and +2 examination from those rural schools that do not fall in the area of Muncipal Corporation/ Muncipal committee/ Small town/ Notified Area, Further the candidate should have being studying in such school for the at least five year  before passing the last examination. A candidate claiming such benefit will have to produce a certificate from D.E.O/Principal of concerned institute of the area certifying that the School from where the candidate has passed the matriculation and +2 examination, falls within the aforesaid rural area.

10) The Border area students shall mean those candidate who have passed their matriculation and +2 examination from the Border Area Schools Situated within 20 kilometers from the  international Border.A candidate claiming such benefit will have to produce a certificate from the Tehsildar or the Principal/ Headmaster/ Head of school certifying that the school from where the candidate has passed the matriculation or +2 examination, falls within the aforesaid Border Area.

11) One additional seat each for the student suffers from cancer, AIDS & thalassemia has been allowed for admission in each course in Punjab University Teaching Departments, Regional centers and is affiliated Colleges subject to condition that the candidate seeking admission under each of these categories if otherwise eligible from all angles. The claimant candidate will have to submit a certificate as a proof from the National Medical Institute like PGI, AIMS etc. in support of his/her claim.
