Awareness cum Training campaign for the cleanliness of Buddha Nullah organised at Kamla Lohtia S. D. College

An Awareness cum Training campaign for the cleanliness of Buddha Nullah was organised by NSS unit of Kamla Lohtia S. D. College, Ludhiana in association with Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. Dr. Puran Singh, Director Buddha Nullah Project, Ludhiana imparted online training to the NSS volunteers. As a part of this awareness cum training programme, Dr. Singh guided the students about various ways to generate awareness among people nearby regarding the cleanliness of Buddha Nullah. He also motivated the students to participate enthusiastically in this campaign and educate people for not littering around the Nullah or throw domestic or other waste into it. Further as a part of this cleanliness campaign, a team of three students was proposed to be formed who will be assigned the task of monitoring the nearby banks of Buddha Nullah and notice the violators. Appreciating this noble initiative of municipal corporation, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Marwaha asserted that youth can play active role and contribute positively to this socially purposeful campaign. He also lauded the efforts of NSS Programme coordinators Dr. Mohd. Saleem and Dr. Ritu Gupta for this purposeful event. The College Managing Committee headed by President Sh. Dharam Paul Jain along with Sh. Sunil Aggarwal, Sh. Sandeep Aggarwal, Sh. Sandeep Jain, Sh. B.M. Ralhan, Sh. Shaman Jindal and Sh. R.D. Singhal endorsed the holding of this virtuous campaign.
