Eligibility for Admission to B.A. I Semester
The admission to the first semester of the course shall be opened to a student who has passed +2 examination of Punjab School Education Board or any other examination recognized equivalent there to.
A candidate joining the B.A. I Semester should have obtained at least 33% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects (including marks obtained by him in the subject of compartment, Theory and Practical taken together) taken up by him at the +2 examination. Candidates who have passed +2 Examination without English from any recognized Board/Body Council/ University are eligible to join B.A.I Semester provisionally, subject to his/her qualifying the deficient subject from the parent board/body/council/university in two consecutive chances subsequent to his admission failing which his/her admission to B.A.I Semester and the result for the examination shall automatically stand cancelled.
Note : (1) The Following categories of the students shall be entitled to take the option of History and Culture of Punjab in lieu of Punjabi as Compulsory subject :
a) That the students who have not studied Punjabi upto class 10th.
b) Ward of/and Defence Personnel and Central Government employee/employees who are transferable on all India basis.
c) Foreigners
Eligibility for Admission to B.A.III Semester/B.A.III Year
A Student, who has passed B.A. II Semester/B.A.II Year or any other examination equivalent thereto shall be eligible to join B.A.III Semester/B.A.III Year and the subjects will remain the same as in B.A.II Semester/B.A II Year subject to availability. A student placed under compartment from any other University is not eligible for admission.
