Participation of NSS volunteers of Kamla Lohtia S.D. College in Buddha Dariya Cleanliness Campaign

Contributing their best for clean surroundings and a clean city, the NSS volunteers of Kamla Lohtia S.D. College, Ludhiana gave their whole hearted participation in the Buddha Dariya Cleanliness campaign initiated by Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. 12 teams of 3 students each from the college formed as a part of Clean Buddha Dariya Project performed field work, distributed awareness pamphlets, collected feedback from the people living nearby Buddha Dariya regarding the waste disposal and segregation of dry and wet garbage for seven days consecutively and conveyed the same to the concerned Municipal Corporation officials. The Municipal Corporation officials appreciated the efforts and zealous involvement of the college students in this relevant social cause. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Marwaha praised the enthusiastic participation and sense of commitment among the students for a better hygiene all around and asserted that college shall always endorse such purposeful campaigns. He also lauded the remarkable efforts of NSS programme coordinators Dr. Mohd. Saleem and Dr. Ritu Gupta for motivating and guiding the students for this virtuous campaign. The College Managing Committee headed by President Sh. Dharam Paul Jain along with Sh. Sunil Aggarwal, Sh. Sandeep Aggarwal, Sh. Sandeep Jain, Sh. B.M. Ralhan, Sh. Shaman Jindal and Sh. R.D. Singhal also had words of appreciation for this social campaign.
