A Webinar on COVID 19 Its impact on Indian Economy was organized by Kamla Lohtia S. D. College, Ludhiana by the P.G. Department of Economics. Dr. Kamaljit Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, K.R.M. DAV College, Nakodar was the resource person for the occasion. Elaborating the multi-sectoral impact of COVID-19 on Indian Economy, Dr. Kamaljit described Tourism, Aviation and Hospitality sectors as the worst affected ones with a sharp cut in revenue and employment. He further explained that adoption of inward looking policies by many countries along with other trailing factors has shifted the world economy from Globalization to Slowbalization and made its growth L-shaped but he cited the ray of hope for revival of Indian economy by describing it as U-shaped i.e. showing signs of recovery after falling down. He also stated that the long term solution to the COVID related problem lies in skill development, increased savings and investment, stimulation of resource mobilization and above all mind management for the spiritual healing from the COVID related distress. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Marwaha recognized the significance of this immensely knowledgeable talk and asserted that all round efforts by one and all along with a positive frame of mind, are required to bring the derailed economy back on track. Dr. Mohd. Saleem, Head, P.G. Department of Economics introduced the topic of Webinar while Prof. Sandeep Chanana presented the vote of thanks. The College Managing Committee headed by President Sh.
