A Webinar on ‘Life, Philosophy and Ideology of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’ was organised by Kamla Lohtia S.D. College, Ludhiana by the Department of Punjabi. Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Punjabi, Kurukshetra University was the resource person. Dr. Kuldeep Singh focused on the basic ideology and tenets of life of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji – the Ninth Guru of Ten Gurus of Sikhism. He described Guru Sahib as the crusader and merciful saviour of the weak and downtrodden. He further stated that Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji inculcated the spirit of determination and courage to fight against cruelty and suppression rather than giving in to external pressures and compulsions. Expressing his consonance with the views of the resource person, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Marwaha expressed that Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji’s Martyrdom is unparalleled in the realms of world history and guides the youth to be compassionate and benignant for the humanity. Towards the end, Dr. Bimlesh Kumar Gupta, Head, Dept. of Punjabi, proposed the vote of thanks. The College Managing Committee headed by President Sh. Dharam Paul Jain along with Sh. Sunil Aggarwal, Sh. Sandeep Aggarwal, Sh. Sandeep Jain, Sh. B.M. Ralhan, Sh. Shaman Jindal and Sh. R.D. Singhal also had a word of appreciation for this enlightening webinar.

Beginning of Silver Jubilee Year
On the eve of beginning of SILVER JUBILEE year of Kamla Lohtia Sanatan Dharam College, Ludhiana, ‘Van Mahotsva’ was organized on the premises of the college by Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Ludhiana (Regd) on 8th August 2016. The College, which started with a meager student strength of 131 in 1992, now in 2016, enjoys the privilege of being a premier Post Graduate Institution of the City with 1700 plus student strength and streams of Arts, Commerce, Computer and Management alongwith various post graduate courses to its credit.
